About Me

Hi there! I am recent Computer Science graduate who loves to make innovative and fun game mechanics and systems come to life. I’m currently looking for a game design or gameplay programming role.

Video games have been a significant part of my life ever since I was given a Nintendo DS along with Pokemon Diamond when I was around 6 years old. What initially sparked my interest in game design and programming was learning about Minecraft mods and trying to create my own. (albeit, unsuccessfully at the time). However, it wasn't until around 2 years ago I decided to seriously pursue a career in game development, mainly because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with after completing my degree. The reasoning behind it was since my main passions we're video games and programming, it felt like the most natural path I could take was to learn how to make games.

What I enjoy the most about game design is figuring out what different types of systems and mechanics players click with, refining them into a cohesive package by continuously iterating and incorporating adjustments from feedback. To me there's no comparable feeling to when I see someone really engage with a game I've contributed to.

My go-to types of games are usually survival games, roguelikes, and RPGs. Though I'll play almost any type of game to learn what makes it tick and why it's players finds it fun.
